Ray has lived on the Island since the late 1990s, and during this time has got to know a great many people, worked with many organisations and gained much local knowledge. He holds qualifications in conservation management and environmental auditing and protection. Ray helped set up The Footprint Trust and has worked for the organisation since 2003. Ray is on the board of Isle of Wight Community Action and is a Trustee of The Riverside Centre.
