Vix Lowthion, Leader of the Isle of Wight Green Party addresses potential investors at the Tapnell Farm event
Following the success of the event at Lakeside Park Hotel a further series of events took place over the past week for WCE giving all those attending from across the Island the opportunity to understand more about the project and speak to the WCE and Mongoose team. These most recent events took place at the Botanic Gardens in Ventnor and Tapnell Farm near Yarmouth. Presentations were again provided by Colin Palmer Chairman of WCE who was joined by Steve Webb of Mongoose Energy.
Colin and Steve were also joined by Vix Lowthion, leader of the Isle of Wight Green Party who gave her view and that of the Green Party on this important project for the Island. As you would expect with over 50 people attending these events interest in the community share offer is increasing as investors look to take advantage of the predicted 7% return on investment and development of a Community Fund expected to generate £2.4m towards community projects on the Island. Following the success of these events further events are now being planned.
